MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center Foundation’s 14th annual gala, Dancing for Our Stars (DFOS), has become one of the hottest philanthropic events in Long Beach. Presented by the Don Temple Family Charitable Foundation, the much anticipated DFOS gala will take place at The Westin Long Beach on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The 2024 gala will benefit the comprehensive mission and benefit areas at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.

Over 100 supporters rallied at the 2024 Champion’s Club Classic Golf Tournament, raising a record -breaking $267,500 for the Cherese Mari Laulhere Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Attendee and grateful patient Rhyann Diaz shared her remarkable recovery journey after a hit-and-run accident, highlighting the hospital's crucial care.

In 1960, visionaries and philanthropic members of Long Beach communities expanded Seaside Hospital and moved it to a new location with a new name - now called MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. Future vision and philanthropy continue to be key elements in keeping high-quality healthcare close to home.
Since 1961, we have been a trusted partner with those in our community to ensure that excellence in health care is available right at home.
