About Me

Julie Vivalda, CNM completed her master's in nurse midwifery at the University of California, San Francisco. She decided to pursue midwifery when her close friend had a baby. To this day, Julie still finds childbirth to be incredibly fascinating and powerful.

What makes Julie's approach special is her ability to help her patients relax using mindfulness techniques. Whether it's during appointments, medical procedures, or childbirth, these techniques keep her patients stay calm and connected.

I love just connecting with women and being present for whatever is needed in each encounter. The families that we care for come from all different backgrounds and cultures and I love the variety this brings to my work.

Originally from Capistrano Beach, California, she moved back to Southern California in 2021, after living around various parts of the world for almost 20 years. Julie is fluent in Spanish and French. Outside of work, she spends a lot of time in her garden, growing herbs and fruit trees. She also stays active by playing tennis, swimming in the ocean, and doing yoga.
