Christen R Mellano, MD

Dr. Mellano is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Orange Coast Medical Center with advanced training in arthroscopy and joint replacements of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He graduated from the University Of Southern California School Of Medicine with distinction and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA. Subsequently, he underwent a surgical fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, specializing in shoulder, elbow and sports medicine. During his fellowship, he served as an assistant team physician for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls. Finally, Dr. Mellano trained in anterior approach hip replacement surgery under the tutelage of innovator Joel Matta, M.D.

Dr. Mellano has published numerous articles about orthopedic surgery in peer review journals and presented original research at national and international meetings.
