Orange Coast Medical Center Foundation is honored to have been selected by the Rotary Club of Huntington Beach as the primary beneficiary of funds raised by the 2016 Surfboards on Parade Program. This surf-inspired initiative, which promotes skin cancer awareness and prevention, culminated in a gala event at the Pasea Hotel and Spa on October 7th where 22 custom shaped and artistically designed surfboards were auctioned off, raising more than $115,000.

One special board, sponsored by Hyundai Motor America and displayed at Orange Coast Medical Center prior to the event, was made by shaper Jason Hoffman and artist and melanoma survivor, Kimberley Hansler. The board featured one of Orange Coast Medical Center's therapy dogs, Kiss, riding a wave!
