Steve Geidt, chief executive officer for Saddleback Medical Center

Saddleback Medical Center for Advanced Wound Healing treats chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, radiation treatment, pressure injuries or other conditions, for more than 500 patients annually. The center provides a comprehensive outpatient program designed to speed healing, preserve limbs and prevent the recurrence of challenging wounds. Anyone with a wound that has not started to heal in two weeks or is not completely healed in six weeks may be a candidate for advanced care through the Center.

The specialists at Saddleback Medical Center for Advanced Wound Healing are highly trained in wound management and in treating challenging, chronic wounds. They work together with the patient's primary care physician to create unique programs tailored to each individual. The fully equipped Center has three hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Many patients benefit from this type of therapy as part of their healing plan as it helps healthy cells divide, grow and fight infection.

Each year, nearly six million people are diagnosed with a chronic, non-healing wound. I’m pleased to be part of an exceptional Center that offers an array of treatment options and advanced technologies that help our patients get back to doing the things they love to do.
