MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center’s senior executives and Women’s Health Pavilion physicians and staff hosted Janine Heft, City of Laguna Hills Mayor, on a hard hat tour at the future home of the Women's Health Pavilion currently under construction. The new state-of-the-art three-story, 40,000-square-foot medical building in Laguna Hills, will elevate the future of women's health care and focus on women's needs through all stages of their lives.

“We designed the Women’s Health Pavilion specifically for women’s needs, for them to have easy access to a range of services in beautiful surroundings,” said Marcia Manker, CEO, Saddleback Medical Center. “I have two grown daughters and just became a grandmother myself. I want this to be a place where they would find comfort when they seek health care.”

The Women’s Health Pavilion will feature the Sarah & Taylor Nederlander Breast Center offering women a coordinated approach to care with breast cancer screening services, dedicated breast specialists and treatments all on one campus. Scheduled to open late 2023, the Center will feature the most advanced technology for early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Some of this technology includes 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography for precise imaging, cryoablation treatment to freeze and destroy early stage and benign tumors, DEXA bone-density testing and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

In addition, the Women’s Health Pavilion will house OB GYNs and surgical oncologists who specialize in gynecological cancers, as well as specialty care programs specific to women. These include pelvic health & pelvic floor rehab, osteoporosis clinic, dietary counseling and survivorship programs. There will also be a Community Education Center and mental wellness support services.
