Department of Managed Health Care’s Right Care Initiative Award

For the 5th consecutive year, Greater Newport Physicians received the Right Care Initiative Bronze Award from the California Department of Managed Healthcare (DMHC) for outstanding diabetes care.

Each year DMHC acknowledges California health plans and medical groups that meet clinical performance standards for controlling blood pressure, blood sugar and/or cholesterol.

The Right Care Initiative is a public-private collaborative effort focused on preventing premature disability and death from heart attacks, strokes and diabetes complications.
