While each program varies at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women's Hospital Long Beach, to fulfill particular needs and requirements, certain policies and procedures are common to all.
The policies provided in this section apply to all residents and fellows who rotate to our institution for the purpose of obtaining advanced education and/or training leading to eligibility for licensure or recognition in a specialty or subspecialty field.
For the purposes of these policies and procedures, the term ‘resident’ includes all individuals appointed by the hospital to a title of Post MD I-VI, in an ACGME or CPME accredited training program.
