On February 1, 2005, Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, based in Laguna Hills acquired San Clemente Hospital and Medical Center. Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, San Clemente is now a member of MemorialCare Medical Centers, a not-for-profit, health care system of community-based hospitals located in Southern California in both
Los Angeles County and Orange County. Saddleback has taken the long term strategic view to build the San Clemente facility into a medical center which serves South Orange County patients with excellent care and state-of-the-art equipment.
