About

Sarah Trabold, NP says that after high school, she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life. “I thought I wanted to be a police officer, although I mainly worked in restaurants in my early 20s. It wasn’t until I landed a job as a secretary at a hospital that I thought about medicine as a career. I happened to get placed in labor and delivery and I absolutely fell in love with it. The nurses were such strong, autonomous, smart and incredible women, and they were all a family. I wanted nothing more than to be just like them. So I went to nursing school. After I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I worked in labor and delivery for nine years, and then left to become a full-time nurse practitioner.”

Sarah has found great satisfaction in her chosen profession.

“Getting to see a patient through pregnancy from her first prenatal appointment to her post-partum visit, getting to hear her birth story and meet her baby--there is nothing like it! I love the relationship I get to build with my patients during their journey. Preparing them, educating them, caring for them-- and then getting to celebrate with them.”

Sarah has 15 years of experience in women’s health. It is important to her that patients know that “I will do my best to create a safe and comfortable environment for them. I love women’s health and obstetrical care, in particular. I wouldn’t do anything else.”

Sarah grew up in Lancaster but moved to be near the beach as soon as she could. In her spare time, she enjoys hot yoga, snowboarding and traveling, as well as spending time with husband and daughter. “If I can combine traveling with yoga or snowboarding, that’s even better,” she says. One favorite travel memory is of her hugging a panda in China. “Now, one of my bucket list items is to hug a koala in Australia.”
