Plumbing is ongoing. Rough-in is complete. 20% of fixtures are complete.
Electrical is ongoing. Wall rough-in is complete. Lights and receptacles are 35%.
Rough grading is 99% complete. Paving is complete on the north end. Site Concrete is 70%.
Roofing is complete on the upper portion of roof.
Mechanical penthouse is installed.
HVAC is ongoing. Ductwork 99% complete. Grills and diffusers are 30%.
Stucco is complete.
Glass and Glazing: Frames are 95% complete. Glazing is 90% complete.
Elevators are complete.
Painting is 85%. VWC is 25%.
Connector has been resubmitted to OSHPD for 4th review of structural design.
Cooling tower project increment #2 is pending OSHPD review and approval, increment #3 was approved (temporary cooling tower) change order # 1 for increment #3 has been sent to OSHPD for review.
Construction Timeline
September 2007: City approves construction plans.
November 2007: Demolition completed.
December 2007: Groundbreaking ceremony held on site; more than 300 community supporters and city officials in attendance.
January 2008: Construction begins.
August 2008: Steel beam installation reaches its highest peak. Commemorative “Topping-Off Ceremony” is held with more than 600 people signing the final steel beam before it is hoisted into place atop the building.
September 2008 – November 2008: Steel detailing, concrete deck (floor) pouring mechanical, electric and plumbing installation will take place, with fireproofing and exterior studs to follow.
December 2008 – October 2009: Construction continues.
October 2009: Scheduled opening of the Orange Coast Patient Care Pavilion.
