American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc (APDA)

The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc (APDA) is a not-for-profit, voluntary health agency committed to serving the Parkinson community through a comprehensive program of research, education, and support. American Parkinson Disease Association was founded in 1961 to "Ease the Burden and Find the Cure" for Parkinson's disease. American Parkinson Disease Association supporters have invested very heavily in this Association, allowing for continuous expansion of its goals.

The growing support received from the public at large, the Parkinson's community, and pharmaceutical companies along with a dedicated Board of Directors, Executive Committee, National Office, and a network of Chapters, Information & Referral Centers, and Support Groups, has made APDA the largest grassroots Parkinson's disease organization in the United States. This dedicated broad base of support has helped us to ease the burden, and will bring us closer to finding the cure.
