Lead Placement, Extractions & Replacement
We provide surgical services for lead placement, extractions and replacement. Leads that are connected to pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices may become infected or malfunction. Long Beach Memorial has more than 20 years’ experience removing more than 2,000 leads. Specialized laser equipment is available.For left ventricle lead placement we also offer a minimally invasive procedure using the da Vinci S™ Surgical System (da Vinci), robotic computer technology.
