There are significant changes happening on the campus of Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach. We invite you to participate by investing in the health of our community through a designated gift to one of the important initiatives below.
The new Todd Cancer Pavilion offering state-of-the-art cancer care in a patient and family centered environment, expected to open in the Spring of 2013.
The MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute has long been a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. To support its continuing efforts to offer state-of-the-art care, a new Hybrid Suite is being built that will promote multidisciplinary collaboration between vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to provide patients with exactly the right treatment options. This initiative also supports the creation of an Endowed Chair in Heart and Vascular Medicine allowing the Institute to recruit a renowned physician teacher and researcher to lead the department into the future. A new endowment is also planned to support current and future research projects to add to the list of "firsts" that the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute is known for and to allow the medical staff and care teams to offer the best possible outcomes for patients.
The MemorialCare Center for Women is currently being expanded to include 11 new private rooms, two new labor and delivery suites, a fetal diagnostics room, the most advanced technology available, a new welcome and waiting area and an expanded postpartum area for families to bond with their newborns.
The new Miller Children's Pavilion recently completed the second phase of construction. Two new areas of specialty pediatric care where your philanthropy can still make a difference is the new pediatric hematology/oncology unit or the expanded neonatal intensive care unit.
