Robert W. Kalayjian, MD

Dr. Kalayjian has been an anesthesiologist at Memorial Hospital since 1975 except for a four year hiatus (1984-1988) when he was on the faculty of the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University. For the past five years Dr. Kalayjian has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)at Memorial. Having trained in the MBSR program at the University of Massachusetts, the program is patterned after the eight week program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. It is useful for people with many forms of chronic illness or the effects of day to day stress.
