Center for Women at Miller Childrens Delivers First Baby of 2011

LONG BEACH, Calif., (Jan. 1, 2011) – After about 16 hours of labor, Isabel Kaylin Norris was delivered at the MemorialCare Center for Women at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1, making her the greater Long Beach area’s first baby of 2011. Baby Norris was born to parents Jeanette Carter and Keith Norris.

Baby Norris came into the world at 20.5 inches long and 8 pounds, 1 ounce. She is not only the first baby of 2011, but mom and dad’s first baby as well. Baby Norris was welcomed into the world by mom, dad and grandparents.

“She’s No.1 – her birthday is all ones including the time she was born – 1/1/11 at 12:01,” says Carter. “It’s amazing and exciting to have the first baby of 2011.”
