Fashion Show Raises $78,000 to Benefit the General Pediatrics Unit at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach

On Feb. 13, models from Melrose Alley flaunt their stuff at the 50th Annual Fashion Show and Auction that raised $78,000 for the General Pediatrics unit at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.

The Hyatt Regency in Long Beach was a flurry of the brightest colors and a show of generous hearts as more than 300 participants bid in auctions benefiting Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach on Feb. 13, raising $78,000 for the hospital’s General Pediatrics Unit.

Hosted by the Children’s Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (CMHA), a volunteer organization benefiting Miller Children’s, the 50th Annual Fashion Show and Auction featured Detroit-born designer Kevan Hall’s Melrose Alley Boutique.

During the event, the 370 attendees bid on a large selection of donated baskets and items including a kayak, assorted wines, floral arrangements and jewelry.

The Children’s Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Associates Guild is a fundraising group, which volunteers and organizes fundraising activities and events to help support Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.

Each year, the CMHA organizes an annual fashion show, featuring designers from Hollywood, to help raise money for different pediatric programs. They also work in the Gift Shop and support other fundraising activities such as the Nightingale’s Faires, a boutique style shopping experience at the children’s hospital, volunteer gift shop and support Birthday Club each month for children in the hospital.
