Five-Star Chefs Add Flare to Heart-Healthy Cooking

Award winning Chefs from the St. Regis Hotel Demonstrate Heart Healthy Recipes for more than 200 Community Members at Saddleback Memorial

WHAT: Saddleback Memorial Medical Center welcomes the talented chefs from the five-star St. Regis Monarch Beach who will showcase a heart-healthy cooking demonstration in honor of American Heart Month. They will prepare an appetizer, entrée and dessert focusing on simple ways to make satisfying and healthy meals. Cardiologist Suzanne Feigofsky, MD, will briefly discuss heart disease risk factors and share practical advice for keeping hearts in tiptop shape.

WHAT ELSE: Mission Viejo resident, Tammie Kennerson, 39, will serve as "sous chef". Tammie is a heart disease survivor and single mother of two who recently had an angiogram showing 99% blockage in her right artery and had two stents inserted. Since her procedure she has been dieting and exercising and has lost more than 25 lbs.

VISUALS: Award winning chefs demonstrate how to prepare a five-star heart- healthy three course dinner for more than 225 community members sporting red aprons.
