Saddleback Memorial – San Clemente Receives $52,000 Grant

Grant will be used to purchase new pediatric medical supplies

San Clemente, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2007) – Saddleback Memorial Medical Center– San Clemente has been awarded a $52,000 grant from National Philoptochos Children's Medical Fund funded by The National Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society, Inc.

The grant will be used to purchase pediatric emergency and imaging department supplies. Some of the items include a pediatric phlebotomy table, Intraosseous Infusion System, Intraosseous Infusion System, Dinamap Pediatric Blood Pressure Monitor, Arterial Temporal Thermometers, and emergency department Pediatric Mayo Stands. “We are honored that we have been selected by The National Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society to receive this grant,” says Liz Bear, administrator, Saddleback Memorial-San Clemente.

“This grant will help us purchase new medical equipment for some of our youngest patients and help us continue our commitment of providing quality healthcare to the community we serve.” The grant was presented to Saddleback Memorial-San Clemente at the National Philoptochos Children’s Medical Fund Luncheon. The luncheon generated nearly a half-million dollars in proceeds.
