Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital Enhance

LONG BEACH, Calif. – August 21, 2007 – Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital (LBMMC/MCH) have announced the addition of Elizabeth Cochran as senior vice president of Medical Center Services and Theresa Gianfortune as vice president of Human Resources.

Belmont, CEO, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital. “Elizabeth and Theresa are great additions to our leadership.”

Elizabeth Cochran, senior vice president of Medical Center Services, will oversee the development of long-term growth and expansion plans for the campus, as well as the management of all facilities, support services, rehabilitation, ambulatory care, pathology and laboratory services. Cochran joins LBMMC/MCH from Kaiser Permanente, where as assistant hospital administrator, she managed support services departments, developed and executed relocation plans, new building and construction projects and coordinated operational planning groups of physicians and department managers.

Theresa Gianfortune, vice president of Human Resources, has more than 20 years of human resource experience. Most recently she was vice president of human resources for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Gianfortune is a former director of human resources at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
