Specialty Boutique for Women’s Health Care Products Opens at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center

Laguna Hills, Calif. (July 27, 2007) – Saddleback Memorial Medical Center will host a grand opening celebration on Thursday, August 2 for “Transitions for Women”, a specialty boutique offering breastfeeding, maternity and oncology products and supplies. The store is the first hospital-based retail boutique of its kind in south Orange County.

“Transitions for Women” offers hundreds of quality products to meet the needs of women and is staffed by knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly female employees. For women facing cancer, undergoing chemo therapy, or for those who have had a mastectomy or lumpectomy, the specialty store provides custom-fitted breast forms for, support and specialty bras, wigs, scarves, turbans and more. Women with lymphedema can purchase compression garments. Maternity products include nursing apparel, prenatal and nursing bras, abdominal/back supports, maternity support hose, electric breast pumps (sales and rentals), nursing pillows and other breast-feeding aids.

”Women dealing with these sensitive issues usually rely on pharmacies, catalogs, medical equipment stores or the impersonal Internet for the products they need,” says store manager Mary Bowman, R.N.. “Our goal is to provide a comfortable and highly personalized setting in which women can learn about and try breast forms, specialized garments and other items to meet their specific medical needs.”
