New Administrator Appointed to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, San Clemente

Liz Bear has been appointed as the new administrator of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in San Clemente.

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. – Saddleback Memorial Medical Center recently announced that Liz Bear has been appointed as the new administrator of their San Clemente location. Bear has been with MemorialCare for over nine years and most recently was the Executive Director for Business Development and Marketing at Saddleback Memorial.

Bear has a rich background, completing her undergraduate work at Pomona College, and her MBA from the University of Chicago as well as a post-graduate Fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. While at Yale, she held progressively responsible positions, moving from planning & marketing into operations as the Clinical Laboratory Director. Recruited back to her native California, Bear initiated the CQI/TQM process at Hoag, facilitated a reorganization of the laboratory and then moved into the Administrative Director role for the Hoag Cancer Center. As an independent consultant, Bear has worked for the US Agency for Internal Development (USAID) and Porter Novelli on social marketing projects in Turkey.

Bear succeeds Diana Hendel, Pharm.D., who was recently appointed Chief Operating Officer at Long Beach Memorial Center.
