Robert P. Realmuto, MD

Dr. Realmuto is board certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced emergency medicine at Orange Coast Memorial since the hospital opened in 1986. He has been Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine for ten years. He is a member of the hospital's Medical Executive Committee and Credentials Committee. In addition, he serves as the Treasurer of the Medical Staff. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and received the College's Service Award for Career Recognition in 1998. He is a member of the Society of Orange County Emergency Physicians where he previously served on the Broad of Directors and as Treasurer. Dr. Realmuto is a partner of the California Emergency Physicians' Medical Group (CEP). Founded in 1975, CEP is the leading provider of emergency physicians in California. Its reputation for quality has lead to an overall physician board certification rate of almost 100%. CEP has provided the emergency care at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center since 1996.
